H & H Advancement is a summer enrichment program for students who want to excel in high school math and science.  Founded in 2014 by seasoned teachers, Scott Halander and Bruce Hubschmitt, it offers 5 week courses in accelerated Algebra 2 / Trigonometry, Integrated Math Prep, and Chemistry.

Bruce and Scott each have nearly 20 years of teaching experience.  They have spent more than a decade teaching Advanced Placement courses at Westview High School with passing rates well beyond the national standard. Since 2014, they have helped more than 100 students prepare for AP math and science courses as H & H Advancement summer program instructors. 

Scott Halander is the 2008 American Chemical Society Outstanding Chemistry Teacher and the 2023 GSDSEF Teacher Of The Year. He is the founder of and current teacher for the AP Chemistry program at Westview High School. 

Bruce Hubschmitt is a recipient of the 2014 Crystal Apple award and was the 2012 Westview Teacher of the Year. He currently teaches Calculus and Algebra 2 / Trigonometry.
